Hello and welcome to Lucy’s Hair Extensions. Lucy’s hair extensions is a specialist boutique hair extensions salon with a large client base across the north of England.

Lucy first worked as a Saturday girl from the age of 13 and from that age she knew the hair industry was where her future was. After qualifying back in 2008, She worked as a mobile hair extension specialist for almost 6 years, and due to expansion back in 2014 she opened her first salon. Lucy had this salon for over 8 years, and in December 2022 she opened Halifax's very first SUPER SALON.The salon has a very welcoming vibe…….making it the ideal location to escape and feel pampered whilst having your new hair fitted. Within the salon we work with clients to create natural-looking hair extensions. We use specific techniques which we have developed over 15 years to bring you the most sophisticated hair extensions available today.

Lucy’s Hair Extensions is based in Illingworth, just on the outskirts of Halifax and just 15 minutes from junction 26 of the M62.

Here at Lucy’s Hair Extensions it’s all about you, and making you feel confident. We want to make you feel welcome in our salon, and the lovely homely feel to our salon will do just that. Our team are fully dedicated to giving you amazing hair solutions that can transform your whole appearance and confidence.
What To Expect @ Lucy’s Hair Extensions?
The Salon: We have WI-FI, magazines and refreshments. It is a relaxed and cosy salon. The salon is located in Illingworth on the outskirts of Halifax. There are 8 chairs within the salon, 4 full qualified stylists, 2 hair extension specialists and 3 helpers, so you will have the attention you deserve when having your hair extensions fitted.

The Consultation: Please come and tell us what you hope to achieve with hair extensions. We will ask you what style you would like and we will ask you about your lifestyle. We like to show you the hair so that you can see and feel the quality. We will also mix hair for you to show you how we create the perfect colour match. You can have test extensions fitted and take away information to consider your decision.

The Appointment: For the Russian hair we mix hair for you and make each extension by hand to then apply either by bonding the hair, or using micro rings. The fitting process is next, followed by the cut. The cut requires us to texture the hair to make it look like you grew it yourself. Finally, we style your hair for you in any style of your choosing. The process will take approx 3hrs 30mins for a full head, 3hrs 15mins for a 3/4 head 3hrs for a half head etc.

Follow Up: As a client at Lucy’s Hair Extensions you will benefit from the dedicated follow up plan. We like to offer clients the opportunity to make adjustments to their hair extensions throughout. If you think you need a fringe trim, a re-shape, or a few hair extensions adjusted then you are always welcome to visit me at the salon. We are always available on the phone or email for queries.
Opening Times: We are currently open Wed – Saturday 9 till 5 and we open late on a Thursday evening until 8.30.

Dying/Colouring Hair: We do offer colouring services at Lucy’s Hair Extensions. We encourage first time clients to come to me with a stable colour which we will then match. For blondes, it is best to have a T-section done when you have your extensions in, and possibly co-ordinate your re-fitting appointment with a full head of highlights. In this case, we can make a split appointment time for you for the refit. If you colour your hair at home, you can continue to do so – but just concentrate on the root area.

Deposits: We always need to see you for a consultation prior to your fitting. Anyone wishing to book an appointment for the fitting of the hair extensions, will be required to pay a deposit.
